Rhea Krčmářová (Krtsch-mar-scho-wa) is an author and transmedia text artist. She is a graduate of the Institute of Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts.
Numerous prizes and scholarships, among others: Wartholz Literature Prize (province of Lower Austria), BKA Literature Project Scholarship, City of Vienna Working Scholarship, Literarmechana Anniversary Scholarship. Book award of the City of Vienna for the short story collection “Bohemia is the Ocean”. Scholarship holder of the wiener wortstaetten and the Theaterbiennale Wiesbaden.
She writes novels, stories, theatre texts, libretti, essays and poetry (among others on instagram.com/rhea_krcmarova) and experiments with transmedial art – video, embroidery, performance (among others with the visual arts duo 4youreye) – and book art.
As part of the WIENER WORTSTAETTEN she wrote the plays “Reigen reloaded”, which premiered 2009 at the Garage X, Vienna, under the direction of Ali Abdullah.

For the playwriting project “NEUROPA” , she wrote the episode “Flashmobs. With symphony orchestra”.
She wrote the play “Expropriations” for the project Entgegnungen.
With her play “In(Trance) Danubien” she participated in the Drama Lab 2023. The play was presented in a stage reading at the Wortstattnächte 2023.
