Allex. Fassberg (no pronouns) has been livng in Germany for 11 years, writes theater texts and works in the fields of dramaturgy and curation. Fassberg studied theater and humanities as well as dramaturgy and participated in UniT’s writing course FORUM Text. Since 2023, Fassberg has been a member of Die Sammlung, a collective of Jewish writers in Berlin. Fassberg’s writing has won the Retzhofer Dramapreis 2017, the Gargonza Arts Award 2020 and the Münchner Förderpreis für deutschsprachige Dramatik 2021 and was nominated for the shortlist “Text und Sprache 2022” Literaturpreis des Kulturkreises der deutschen Wirtschaft im BDI e. V. and the “Jakob-Michael-Reinhold-Lenz-Preis der Stadt Jena 2024”. Fassberg’s texts include: “Ha’Ke’Tsaakata” (2024), “History Drought” (2024), “So He Said” (2023), “Meine Nackte Existenz” (2023), “In the Name of” (2021), “Am Styx” (2020), “Momente wie Sally” (2019), “Etwas Kommt Mir Bekannt Vor” (2017) and “Olive Trees” (2016). Together with Franziska Füchsl, Fassberg is currently translating the poems of Abba Kovner.

As part of the Tour of the Text, Liat Fassberg worked on their play “Meine Nackte Existenz” (AT).
