Lenka Lagronová was born in Brno in 1963. She studied dramaturgy at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and wrote several plays as a student, which were performed at the DISK Theatre.
As dramatic adviser, she has worked exclusively with director Petr Lébl at the Theatre on Balustrades.
She has written over 25 plays, which have been performed at the National Theatre in Prague, the Činoherní Studio in Ústí nad Labem, the East Bohemian Theatre in Pardubice and the Andrej Bagara Theatre in Nitra, among others.
She has been a finalist for the Alfréd Radok Drama Prize several times.
In 1998, her play “Terezka” won this prestigious prize.
She also writes radio plays and fairy tales. Her radio play “Get Up” was awarded the main prize in the Grad Prix Bohemia radio play competition.
Lenka Lagronová is part of the Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe community and 2020 took part in the symposium “Is writing an activity, carrer or therapy? – Female perspectives on contemporary playwriting“.
