Jasmina Eleta, born in Zurich in 1975, studied Textiles at the Zurich University of Art and Design. In 2004, she began her studies of directing and screenwriting at the Vienna Film Academy under M. Haneke and W. Wippersberg.
In 2007 she was invited to the Skena-Up 2007 festival in Pristina/Kosovo as director of “Wiens Kultursöldner”, a short documentary.
In 2008, the screenplay for her short fiction film “Fern und Nah” was nominated for the “scec-script-Award” (Drehbuchwerkstatt Salzburg).
As part of the WIENER WORTSTAETTEN, she wrote the play “Gute Besserung”, which premiered in 2009 as part of the writing project “Mein Wien”, directed by Hans Escher.
