Seher Cakir, born in Istanbul, has lived in Vienna since the age of 12. She is co-founder of the bilingual newspaper “Öneri” and works for Radio Orange
Numerous publications, including in the anthology “Eure Sprache ist nicht meine Sprache” published by Milena, poetry collection “Mittwochgedichte” published by Hans Schiler, Berlin
In 2005 she won the literary competition “schreiben zwischen den kulturen”, followed by the Inzinger Literaturwettbewerb in 2007
As part of the WIENER WORTSTAETTEN, she wrote the play “Sevim und Savas”, which was presented as part of the Wortstattnacht 2008 in a stage reading under the direction of Gernot Plass.
