For the 10th anniversary edition of the Summer School Südtirol, the WORTSTAETTEN as cooperation partner will travel to South Tyrol at the end of August to take part in this year’s edition called Geschlechter werden & wieder loswerden (becoming and disbecoming gender). The event series in cooperation with the nids (New Institute for Dramatic Writing) and the MÜNCHNER THEATERTEXTER*INNEN network offers an interdisciplinary exchange for international authors and mentors, who can share their political, dramatic and personal ideas with each other during the 5-day program in the form of literary-dramatic workshops, discussion forums and readings.

This year’s edition will focus on thoughts about what the dissolution of binary gender boundaries could mean, the topic of queerness and its defamation as well as the fundamental question of what it means to become a gender and whether it is possible to get rid of it again.

Next to Bernhard Studlar as mentor and lead of the WIENER WORTSTAETTEN, the viennese author Moritz Franz Beichl will join this Summer School’s edition and present his newest book “Männer” as part of the agenda on queer-feminist superscription in theatre, film and literatur.
