Peter Thiers, born in 1991, studied dramaturgy at the HMT Leipzig and the HfMT Hamburg before working as an assistant director at the Thalia Theatre Hamburg. He received the 2019 Kleist Prize for Young Dramatists for his drama “Warten auf Sturm” and premiered his play “Paradiesische Bauten”, which was awarded the 2020 Hamburg Literature Prize, at the Thalia Theatre Hamburg in the 2020/2021 season under his own direction. In 2021 he was a finalist in the 29th open mike. With the collective “Megacorp”, he creates immersive theatre projects critical of capitalism on the border between acting and digitality. Peter Thiers works as a playwright and director and lives in Hamburg.
