Denijen Pauljevic, born in Belgrade, fled to Germany during the Yugoslavian wars, lived illegally in Munich and spent four years in an asylum centre.
He studied intercultural communication, took part in the screenwriting workshop at the HFF in Munich and works on various literature, screenplay and theatre projects.
From 2013 to 2018, he was responsible for coordinating the Munich Balkan Days. In 2014 he received the Raniser Debüt author grant and in 2015 the City of Munich Literature Scholarship.

As part of the Tour of the Text, Denijen Pauljevic is working on his play “Das Schneckengrabhaus. The state capital is a predator”.
